A day in the life of an STR…
7.13.21 - The beginning…
Over two years ago I started an STR out of my home. I listed it on Airbnb and it was a wild success. I have had challenges and I have made mistakes but the one thing I have learned is how much l enjoy hosting guests. I love everything about the process from setting up and decorating the space, communicating with the guests, adding little touches that say “welcome”, cleaning and organizing cleaning teams, trouble-shooting issues, laughing at silly things people do (including me), reviewing and reading reviews from guest stays, and learning how to be or make things better. I am grateful to meet so many awesome people, give them a nice welcoming place to stay, and wishing them luck in the future and safe travels always. I enjoy the process so much I have now started a BnB management company to bring what I have learned and my love for the industry to others who may not enjoy it as much as I do but do enjoy the financial aspect of having short-term rental(s). STR’s can be highly profitable when set up and managed by an expert in the industry. I am your expert. Contacting me costs nothing, however, allowing me to manage your STR has only gains and benefits for you; some of those being time, less stress, and financial growth.
What I have learned…
Ask potential guests lots of questions until you are satisfied with the answer.
If a guest does not feel right, they probably are not…refer to #1
Do not lower your standards to fit a guest, it rarely works out.
If you are not in love with hosting guests, they will feel it, find a manager who does and let them soar. Your guests will benefit and so will your bank account.
